Virgin Hyperloop One unveils ‘Vision 2030 Hyperloop Pod’

In continuation of its efforts to bring the innovative hyperloop transport system to market, Virgin Hyperloop One (VHO) -- earlier called Hyperloop One -- has developed a new ‘Vision 2030 Hyperloop Pod’ which was demonstrated by the company this week.
The demonstration marked the video release of Virgin Hyperloop One’s full-scale working pod prototype in test tube track.
The demonstration of the new ‘Vision 2030 Hyperloop Pod’ took place this week at the Virgin Galactic test site in the Mojave desert, in coincidence with a visit to the test site by Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
With Virgin Hyperloop One’s full-scale test track in Nevada in 2017 having resulted in the achievement of a test speed record of “nearly 387 kilometers per hour,” the recent demonstration of ‘Vision 2030 Hyperloop Pod’ was evidently an attempt by the company to convince the Crown Prince to approve to a hyperloop project in Saudi Arabia.
Against the backdrop of the unveiling of ‘Vision 2030 Hyperloop Pod,’ the Crown Prince said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is looking forward to advancing its relations with VHO. The Crown Prince also added that the development of innovative transport technologies like hyperloop is indicative of an effort towards “accelerating Vision 2030 objectives to transform the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from a technology consumer to a technology innovator.”
