According to a Croatian news website Index.hr report, electric car startup Rimac Automobili has revealed that it has almost sold out the projected 150-unit run of its C_Two all-electric hypercar in barely three weeks.
The disclosure, by Rimac’s Sales Manager Krešo Coric, implies that C-Two electric car is already witnessing incredible popularity despite its whopping $2-million price tag. The car will compete with the next-generation Tesla Roadster.
Highlighting the noteworthy sales of the C_Two hypercar, Coric said that Rimac is left with only a “few” more units of the electric car for purchase by potential buyers, as of 29 March, 2018.
The C_Two all-electric hypercar is the second electric vehicle to be produced by Rimac; the first one being the Concept_One which had a very limited 10-unit run. The Croatian electric car startup will be producing 150 units of the C_Two hypercar. The production of the vehicle is scheduled to commence in 2020.
The C_Two was unveiled by Rimac in November 2017. During the unveiling, Rimac had shared some details about the car. The company had revealed that the vehicle will take only 1.85 seconds to reach 0-60 mph acceleration. The electric motors of the car will have the ability to produce 2,300 Nm of torque, thereby helping it achieve a top speed of 258 mph.
