Hyundai Kona EV 64kWh version will likely cost 325.900 kr in Norway
According to recent media reports from Norway, the cost of the 64kWh Hyundai Kona EV in the country will be 325.900 kr. The disclosure implies that, at the current exchange rate, the Hyundai Kona EV price point for the 64kWh version in Norway will be approximately $39,850. In other words, the 64kWh Hyundai Kona EV will likely be base priced at or less than $40,000 in Norway.
Hyundai has already revealed that the cost of the 40kWh Kona EV in the US will be around $30-$35,000, when the vehicle becomes available for purchase in the country by the end of 2018.
Meanwhile, although Hyundai had shared some information about the Kona EV at the New York Auto Show, the recent press reports from Norway have revealed some more interesting details. As per the reports, Kona will have a range of 482 kilometers (WLTP), which is almost 300 miles. Hyundai, however, has been touting that the range of the EV in the US will be 250 EPA miles.
Moreover, going by the reports, the horsepower of the long-range Kona will be slightly more than 200hp or 150kW, which will give the EV the ability to accelerate from 0 to 60mph in approximately 7.6 seconds.
