Elon Musk: ‘SpaceX package’ of next-gen Tesla Roadster will include rocket thrusters

In a recent Twitter post, Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk has said that the automaker’s forthcoming next-generation Roadster all-electric supercar will boast the inclusion of a ‘SpaceX package’, with “~10 small rocket thrusters.”
The disclosure about the ‘SpaceX Package’ for the next-gen Tesla Roadster was made by Musk earlier this week. However, in that disclosure Musk had just said that the package will enable the all-electric supercar to achieve a new level of specifications, which will comparatively be much higher than the base specifications announced earlier by the automaker.
Musk also added alongside that “adapted cold gas thrusters” will be used for the configuration he is referring to. He further said that the mentioned thrusters are used by Space X on the second stage of its Falcon 9 rocket.
With the ‘SpaceX package’ in next-gen Roadster marking a continuation of the Tesla Roadster-SpaceX relation, Musk has now asserted in the recent tweet that that addition of rocket thrusters -- via the ‘SpaceX package’ -- to the next-gen Roadster will bring about a dramatic improvement in the supercar’s “acceleration, top speed, braking and cornering.”
Furthermore, Musk also wrote in his recent tweet that the small rocket thrusters potentially have the ability to “even allow a Tesla to fly.”
