Electric cars grab spotlight at 2018 Paris Motor Show
According to a Euronews report, the vehicles which have attracted the maximum attention at the 2018 Paris Motor Show chiefly include the electric models of well-known car brands. The Paris Motor Show is the busiest automotive event in the world.
In reporting that electric cars have grabbed the spotlight at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, Denis Loctier -- Euronews science and technology correspondent -- said that some of the “most significant innovations” at this year’s event are “hiding under the hood of the new electric vehicles.”
Loctier further added that the inventive electric versions of leading car brands being displayed at the auto show are, “on the surface,” fairly similar in appearance to their existing counterparts which are powered by petrol.
As per the details reported by Loctier, two of the attention-grabbing electric vehicles displayed at the auto show are the vehicles from German automakers Mercedes-Benz and Audi. These vehicles include the Mercedes-Benz EQC SUV which has a conventional form-factor, and the Audi e-tron SUV which has autonomy of 400 km.
In addition, some of the other noteworthy electric vehicles featuring strongly at the auto show include new models like the Tesla Model 3 which marked its European debut at the show, as well as premium retro-futuristic car concepts presented by Mercedes and Peugeot, and extravagant design ideas for self-driving vehicles of the future.
