BYTON unveils ‘K-Byte Concept’ --- an all-electric and autonomous sedan concept

Close on the heels of its recent announcement of a $500 million funding round, electric-car startup BYTON has now unveiled an all-electric and autonomous sedan concept which is called the ‘BYTON K-Byte Concept.’

The unveiling of the BYTON K-Byte Concept has come a few months after the startup’s introduction of first vehicle -- an all-electric SUV -- at the CES event held in January 2018.

In its unveiling of the BYTON K-Byte Concept, BYTON said that the name of the newly-unveiled sedan concept is in accordance with the company’s move to adopt a new naming strategy. BYTON further elaborated that the new naming strategy will involve the use of the word ‘Byte’ by the company, for labelling a series of three vehicles which the company plans to build on a shared platform.

According to further information shared by BYTON’s CEO and co-founder Dr. Carsten Breitfeld, the BYTON K-Byte Concept follows the company’s first model, the BYTON M-Byte Concept, and it “represents a breakthrough in the design of smart connected vehicles.”

Dr. Breitfeld elaborated that the BYTON K-Byte Concept delivers “a perfect blend of elegance, style, luxury, and sportiness,” thereby changing the design language of conventional cars. He also added alongside that the K-Byte Concept introduces “new design aesthetics in the age of shared mobility and autonomous driving.”
